The presence and now
Traver Francisco is one of my psychiatrists reference for the quality of their written . We all should continue to some, are privileged witnesses of the most intimate fabric of being human. In this post shelled some aspects of the present, mindfulness and mindfulness:
"We can all experience-even for a very small-which means to be without thought and being fully conscious. It means that you may be aware at all (in the neurological sense of the word) and yet keep your mind occupied at the continued flow of images and thoughts, that murmur almost omnipresent we call "chatter".
That
experience is what is known of mindfulness or awareness. in this post I would like to add a few more issues to this concept, I refer to certain attributes that are hanging from it. Presence and now.
Most of our mental contents are waking thoughts, in a way modern man is a man intoxicated with his own thoughts that constantly appear on the endless horizon of our mind as if it had an engine that then put imperceptibly and unintentionally. It is very difficult to keep your mind clear of thoughts, memories, ideas, ditties, beliefs, imagination, anticipation and inner dialogues. We therefore very little time to look, to behold.
Thought and object presence, it is not possible to acquire presence while the mind is occupied by thoughts. For there presence is required only "to be there." The present condition is the no-mind. Neither the past (memory) and future (anticipation) or present (thoughts) tolerate the presence, just fading collides with any mental element.
Presence can be defined as being there " here and now" , ie it is a way of being in full consciousness in a time interval that is not past or future but here and now. The curious thing about this "now and here" is still being intuitive is very accessible to direct mental experience. If presence is so difficult to acquire is for two reasons: One is that we
conditioned to think we are operating even QUAD automatically as you sew, walk, drive, listen to music or contemplating a painting. Everything indicates that we have a horror of emptiness of mind and tend to give substance compulsively, as if our identity would fragment if we think it is quite possible that this horror vacui is on the basis of certain experiences psychotic fragmentation.
The second reason is that time takes place-in our sense perception, from past to the future to be this intangible that only a trace has disappeared perceive and always shows back. Is because our consciousness becomes aware of itself precisely through a discontinuity that transforms into a sequence illusory as told in this post . "
