Medical representatives are the pharmaceutical industry professionals who visit doctors, nurses and pharmacists to report the news and products that its laboratories produce.

Why?, In my opinion for three reasons.
1. The information provided is not of sufficient interest to the physician who receives.
2. The doctor did not have enough time to attend them.

This information has to be short on time, mainly asynchronous (paper, web pages, email ...) and should provide contrasting evidence.
